Liars regarding weight of shipment and horrendous customer service!

Overall, this moving company was very inconsiderate and condescending, particularly one of the movers who picked up our things. They were late one day in pickup. They wouldn't answer my questions and rudely asked why I was asking (re: whether there were going to be other pickup points along the way and how delivery arrangements would work). They mocked me and a friend who was with me by imitating our laughter and talk in the other room. There was also suspicious calculation of packing material and labor costs (charged EXACTLY the amount that was estimated when movers first arrived, based on a specific amount of packing material, rolls of tape, etc). After loading was completed, the mover forced me to complete the customer satisfaction survey in front of him said I had to do it then and there. I falsely gave high ratings for fear that they would damage our furniture in reality I would have given him the lowest ratings possible. They then left without saying they were done, leaving me wondering where they went and whether it was okay for me to lock up and leave. They also attempted to charge an additional $80 for packing material weeks after pickup. I had signed a document with the final packing material/labor charges and had to call to complain for them to remove the additional charge.

The delivery arrived 4 days after the end of the 10 day window they gave us. Prior to the delivery, they attempted to illegally charge $175 for a reweigh, which I discovered by going to the DOT consumer advocacy site.initially they charged for 4980 lbs. We demanded a reweigh because this was over twice our estimated weight. Reweigh came in at 2800 lbs. Clearly, they make up the weight, hoping the customer will not demand a reweigh so they can get away with charging, in our case, over $1000 more than we should be paying.

I am planning on filing complaints with the BBB, the DOT, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, the Office of the Inspector General and would absolutely recommend AGAINST this company at all cost.
