Silver Arrow Movers ripoff extremely dishonest movers fraudulent billing

I recently had Silver Arrow Movers out of North Hollywood, CA handle my move from Santa Maria, CA to Navarre, FL. They were hired via the National Relocation broker group I paid for the move. It has been a nightmare ever since.

Initially, they brought out a truck that was not large enough to pick up all of my goods. They had to come back the next day to pick up the rest in which they packed into a truck that had someone else's goods. They were also late by 2 hours which wouldn't have been a problem other than I was already suppose to have moved out of the house.

I didn't get upset with them over this but I did have a problem when they said that we went over our weight. Based on the weight of the original pickup and the fact that we still had at least 1500 pounds allowable for the second load for our original quote, I disagreed. The only items left to pick up in the second load was misc items such as a child plastic house, two chairs, and a fake small tree. I didn't believe for a moment that this weighed even more than 1000 pounds.

Due to this disagreement, I was told that I could request a reweigh prior to them dropping off my goods at the destination and once they delivered in order to get an accurate weight with all of my goods on one truck.instead, prior to delivery, the driver told me that it wasn't his job and that all he had to do was deliver. I finally got a hold of Erik (ph 818-503-9124) the dispatcher and supposed head honcho at Silver Arrow Movers and had him confirm that I could get a reweigh, which he in turn told the driver. He did however inform me that for some reason, it was my job to find a weigh station near me... Which I did... And explain how to reach it to the driver.

Thankfully, they did do the weight prior to drop off 6/16. Once they dropped off, they said that they would reweigh in Tallahassee on their way to their next drop off in Orlando. Yes, they had another load on the truck heading for Orlando that unfortunately wasn't separated from my load. I called the next day to get a fax of that reweigh and did not get a call back for 2 days in which the driver informed me that because I did not call them on the day they left my house, they didn't reweigh the truck and by this time, they had already delivered the goods in Orlando.

This is the most ridiculous excuse they could have used not to reweigh. If I requested the rewaigh prior to delivery and prior to their departure after delivery, why would I have to call them once they left to request it again? Why would I have had them weigh the truck prior to drop off my load if I didn't want an accurate weight? This obviously is a scam in order not to allow me a fair and accurate estimate because I had already paid the full amount plus overages which I did not believe were accurate but I was told that after the reweigh, they would adjust it and I would get a refund of what I was owed. I am also missing 9 boxes, a large blue dolly, a large ladder and have many broken pieces of china and glass.

I believe that we may have a few items that also belonged to the delivery in Orlando and that they may have some of our items.
