I have been a customer of this company for over fifteen years.in the past 3 years their lack of service and support has been absurd. I have received two special money saving deals in the course of the last 3 years because they have screwed up so many times. I am still without phone/internet service each month. It goes in and out or is out all day for days at a time. The most recent "repair" resulted in me having phone service, however, no one I am calling can hear me. Thanks Mediacom. I have had two splitters replaced, two boxes replaced, re-installed three times (because evidently the previous cable technician didn't know how to connect me). They even went so far as to say the reason I am not receiving internet and phone is because it's above 90 degrees outside, and the home that I am living in now gets more sun. I am SO tired of all their lies, excuses and chasing them down. At least now they will call first when they show up. Before, they would set a time, I would wait all day and they would never show. Or, I would schedule a time. They would come 1 hour early and leave a note on my door. Cowards.

The most recent technician has been the most helpful. He has been out to my home twice. He admitted that the majority of his calls are to repeat homes - not twice but maybe four or five times. The lines in our town are so old that that they need replacement and updates. However, Mediacom is too cheap to have that done.

I have called about 6 or 7 of their "customer service" numbers only to be on hold for 20 and 30 minutes at a time and still not get a person. I've talked to reps in Florida (two different cities), Atlanta, North Carolina, Chilicothe and so forth. I have even been given numbers to call "directly" only to find out when I call them that they have been disconnected. I have wasted so many of my minutes on my cell phone to them because my land-line doesn't work or drops the call. I have a hanging file folder with names, numbers and notes from the last 3 years. I have learned to write everything down and get things in writing. So far, though, it hasn't helped me in my quest for decent customer service for this pitiful excuse of a company.

I'm switching to a dish, dropping my land-line and paying for a local internet provider this week. I can't wait to tell this company goodbye and good riddance. I suggest any other "customer" of Mediacom do the same before they screw you over like they've done me and my family.

Mediacom - Could it get ANY worse?! They never show up for repair appointments. Their customer service is THE worst in the industry. If I didn't need their local weather during hurricane season, I would toss their "digital" boxes out in the Gulf!
