GE Money Bank - Mohawk Floorscapes
Cannot get a refund from an overpayment

Shops, Products, Services

A statement of amount owed was received in March. There was an overpayment of $225.15 was mailed to GE Money Bank because the company where the purchase was made issued a credit that was not reflected on the bill.

A letter requesting a refund was ignored. Another letter was requested requesting a refund and one was sent (60 days after the initial request). I deposited the check in my bank account and soon after received notice that there was a stop-payment on the check, which cost me $25.00.

At that point I was a negative $25.00 and GE Money Bank still held my credit of $225.15.

After 120 days, I am still trying to get that refund. I spoke with one of their agents by phone (in India). His English was so poor that he could not understand what I was trying to convey. He was rude, told me my balance was zero, and that I was being impatient. He finally hung up on me when I kept asking him to repeat what he was saying because his English was so poor.

I will continue my quest, but I would encourage other consumers to stay away from GE Money Bank!
