Is not even close to being legitimate. Avoid at all costs!

These guys are unbelievable. Of course they seem professional enough when lining up an appointment... They sound no shadier than any other mover, and they quote competitive rates. I scheduled a move for 12/20/07 in Boston, expected to arrive at around 10:00 am. I am also in the fleet business, so I don't expect people to be exactly on time. Well, after several ridiculous excuses, ATRAF finally admitted to me that the truck was leaving New Jersey (at 2:00 pm!) and should be there in 4 hours. Of course, it took longer, so they arrived at about 9:00 pm and begged to complete the job that night. No big deal, that was painful but not too painful.

While the goods were being shipped to North Carolina, ATRAF charged my credit card for the balance of the move (weight was obviously overstated but what can you do?) IN ITS ENTIRETY. Then, when the truck arrives with my items, it's a completely different guy representing a completely different company and demanding $750 IN CASH or else I don't get my stuff. I called ATRAF and Dean immediately explained "oh yes, he needs cash because that's how he pays expenses for the rest of his trip". WHAT?!?!?! I contracted with ATRAF, they've already charged my credit card, now I have a shady dude from Florida holding my stuff ransom for $750 in cash, for which he has no legitimate receipt to provide me with once paid. After several brief discussions (he kept hanging up saying "I'll call you back in 5 minutes") with ATRAF while the truck sat in my driveway, they stopped receiving my calls. Still cannot get in touch with them. I am in the process of disputing $750 worth of my credit card charges.

These guys are not even close to operating a legitimate business. I have never wanted to see someone go out of business more than these guys.
