A year's worth of unwanted charges

After my husband and I separated, I got my own account with my old insurance agency. I made it very clear that I only needed the bare BASICS for the state. They gave me a quote that seemed very high, but assured me that it was the best they could do. I had this insurance for a year. Several times I made the comment that it seemed to high, but I was always assured.

In May, I made the comment to the new girl at the office. She called me back the next day saying that my insurane was so high because I HAD BEEN PAYING FOR FULL COVERAGE FOR A YEAR!

Of course, I did not renew. I got a quote elsewhere and I am now paying $80 less per month. All in all, I was screwed out of almost a grand.
