Invaded my items and stole from me - they are a bunch of thieves

I have moved from NJ to Texas. Michael was the guy that came to my place in NJ and gave me a quote, which was $1000 for 2000lbs, after his quote I sold some of my items, and called him, he told me that the minimum weight is 2000lb so it should be OK. The reason I accepted Security Movers was because they were with BBB. When the movers came to take the furniture they told me that it was more than 2000lbs, I told him that Michael has given us a written quote and showed it to him, he said OK he will charge me extra $600 for packaging which he did not use, my husband was away on business so I had to deal with these guys by myself, so I accepted. Then they wanted me to pay them cash which I did not have, I told them that Michael said it was Ok to give them a check. After a number of calls, he accepted. They asked me for $100 tip which I did not have, I only had $60 and there was only three guys. They were not happy about that. I told them that I did not have a lot of items for them to move. He was not happy about that so he told me JUST REMEMBER WE HAVE YOUR STUFF. The furniture was in storage with the company for 1 month and then when I called them to deliver, it took them another month which they charged me for, After a whole lot of phone calls I eventually got my furniture delivered. Before the furniture was take out of the truck, they wanted payment which was in cash. My husband and daughters unloaded the truck. The boxes were opened and re-taped. My suitcases were light and item from the boxes were placed in my suitcases. Some boxes were missing. We mentioned it to the driver, he asked us to report to the company, which we have done. I do not think these people should get away with this, u think that all your personal items that u pack will not be tampered with, but I was sadly mistaken.
