AT&T
Billing Scam for Residental Customers

Shops, Products, Services

Since AT&T took over Bellsouth, they have been working a billing scam on the public. They will send you an invoice that states a zero balance and "no payment required" for that month. After three or four months they will send you a cutoff notice to scare you into paying a bill twice what you have been paying normally. They charge you for late fees, interest on those late fees, reconnection charges, and interest on the governmental fees. When confronted with this they told me that they have been sending out invoices with the correct billing but when I sent them copies of what I have recieved they said that they did not send those invoices. I questioned the fact that the invoices were on AT&T paper with all the correct information on it and their response was there must be somebody else sending those out, and that did not explain why I wasn't recieving the correct bill. But then I recieved a overpayment refund check which they could not explain away. They are incorrectly billing customers in order to charge late fees and reconnectivity charges all in the name of it not AT&T's fault, but you need to pay it or else. If anyone out there is having similar issues with AT&T please let me know so we can knock the arrorgant asses off their high horse.
