My mother passed away from cancer and my ex-wife wanted money from what my mom had left me, so she took me to court. I went to the Florida litigation Center to see if they would help me, and get my ex-wife off my back and to honor my visitation rights for our daughter.
They told me they would take my case, but I told them all I had right now was what my mother had left me, which was $4,500, he told me that he would take the case, and that after we get my daughter back, that I would pay him $3000 more to fight my ex for full custody of our child after, he said he would win the case easily. So I agreed.
The first time we went to court he sent a rookie straight out of law school who did not know where she was standing, Luckily I have a degree in legal studies and was able to tell her what to say, and luckily we gained the upper hand in the case, The second time we went to court, she didn't even show up, and luckily neither did my ex, so scott represented me over the phone which did not hold well with the judge. After this fiasco he told me he wanted the $3000 up front before the case was over. I told him he had not finished the first part of the case, that when he did, he'll get paid.
Well now it's been over two years since the case, and I have sent them several e-mails and called. I haven't heard from the lawyer or anyone, and I have not seen my daughter in two years. Do not trust this guy or the Florida Litigation Center. They made a promise, they could not keep. They took my dead mothers money and played with the hopes and dreams of an 8 year old child and her father. Eventually I will file a complaint with the bar and hopefully they will shut these people down. They need to learn not to play with peoples hearts and feelings just to enrich themselves.
