Luggage Rip Off

I recently, 5/20/08, went to purchase luggage at Marshall's. I found a nice 2 piece luggage set for $49.99. When I looked inside the larger suitcase I did not see the 2nd piece. I noticed that the 2nd piece was next to the larger. I was confused because the 2nd piece had a price tag of $39.99 on it.

I asked customer service about this and they said they do not sell luggage sets together, but as individual pieces. We both looked at the front of the luggage and right on the front was the big manufacturer label that described the 2 piece set.

I emailed Marshall's corporate and got the below reply:
"Merchandise sold in a set are marked as such so that customers are aware there are matching pieces for this item. However, the merchandise is priced individually".

So Marshall's would have charged me $90 for two pieces that should have been sold as a set for $50. So I guess they will be selling sets of footwear as individual pieces. What a RIPOFF!!!
