"Encore" company

I found a billing of $14.95 on my credit card that was for "Sahalie Rewards". Although I have purchased items from this company for many years, I was distressed to see that they are using their loyal customers to lure them into a "reward" program. I never consciously signed up for this program; I do believe I had clicked on a 15 percent discount or the like a few months ago. I have written an email to the company asking for verification about how I signed up for something I never asked for; the 15 percent discount was less than one month of this strange "encore" membership, whatever it offers! The tell you that you receive materials in the mail, and if you say you never got any they tell you that you probably threw it away thinking it was junk mail!

Here is a copy of my email correspondence:

The $1.95 charge for the thirty day free trial and the $14.95 a month membership fee were described on the membership acceptance page under offer details. Providing your email address and zip code, then clicking yes confirms the Sahalie Rewards program and authorization to bill the credit card used on the original order.

The Membership Kit describing the features and benefits of the Sahalie Rewards program will arrive within two weeks. There are considerable savings available for members. You can cancel your membership at any time, by calling the toll free number below.

We do not administer the Rewards program; we only offer our customers the opportunity to take advantage of the membership. For any further questions about your membership and the benefits of the Sahalie Rewards Program, please contact the program? S customer service at 1-888-528-7245. This is a toll free number and business hours are 9 AM to 5 PM ET, Monday through Friday.

Please explain exactly how your company is involved with "Sahalie Rewards", since I, and a number of other people, are being charged $14.95 per month when evidentally we clicked on a one time discount that was supposedly offered by your company. I am very disappointed that Sahalie would participate in a credit card scam like this, and I would like some explanation before I order from you again. I have been a customer for many many years.
