Sahalie Rewards/Encore Marketing International
Deceptive Business Practice

Miscellaneous

According to Sahalie Rewards, if you made a purchase on the internet from Sahalie, you may have been offered a 15% discount. The discount includes a 30-day FREE trial membership in Sahalie Rewards to obtain discounts from eco-friendly companies. Supposedly you had to type in your email to confirm the trial membership and subsequently received an email explaining the Sahalie Rewards program. After 30 days, you are automatically charged $14.95 per month. We never got the email. Took us 6 months of $14.95 charges to contact the company.

First said they would only reimburse us 2 months. Crystal, a supervisor said she could only reimburse 3 months. I told her that we never got the email and that I believed Sahalie was engaging in corrupt business practice to defraud consumers. I told her the Federal Trade Commission may be interested in investigating their corrupt business practice to protect consumers. She put me on hold and then said she was happy to inform me that they would reimburse all 6 months of charges.

I still filed a complaint with the FTC—Something I think everyone who got deceived by this scam should do. The more complaints the FTC receives, the more likely they may investigate and/or at least send a Cease & Desist Order to Sahalie Rewards. This is such a ripoff! I have ordered from Sahalie before and somehow managed to not get hooked into this. Except for the last time. I called to have the $1.95 removed and then they charged $14.95 to steals from you!
