PMME Inc., Moving Out 62 year old Grandmother ripped off by Moving Out. Arrived 3 hours late, finished at 10 P.M. Gave me a bill $4,000.00 over agreed upon amount. Bait and switch. Held my furniture hostage for 4 long months

In Aug my youngest daughter, her 4 year old daughter and myself moved from North Carolina back to California. Hired MOVING OUT and they gave me an estimate of $2,996.00 and I gave them a $400 deposit and gave them a cashiers check for $1300.00 when they arrived to pack my furniture.

The movers arrived 3 hours late, wrapped everything in tons of tape - then charged me $5 a roll for 55 rolls of tape - there were numerous charges that i was not aware of. Finished packing the truck at 10 o'clock at night and handed me a bill for $6309.00 and wanted me to sign. Driver told me i had no choice but to sign as the truck was loaded, so i signed.

My daughter drove to tennessee that night and i cried all the way there. We attended a family wedding but i was not in the mood and too upset to have a good time

When we arrived in california, they put my furniture in storage and refused to tell me where it was. I made several phone calls and finally talked to james duboise at the fbi agency in washington d.C. I was told this practice is called bait and switch and is illegal. I needed to be told before the truck was loaded that it would cost more. James duboise called moving out and the driver said that i was told that the price was $6309 before he loaded the truck. I would not haved done this - if i had been told before they loaded the truck i would have told them to leave.

This went on for several months - from august till january - i had no idea where my stuff was and if i would ever see it again. I had pictures of my three children and 2 grandchildren that could not be replaced. The furniture is nothing and can be replaced but pictures and memories cannot. For awhile we slept on the floor had no refrig, tv or chairs. Eventually friends lent us beds, a couch and a tv. We bought a refrig at a thrift store and we only had the clothes that we brought with us. My granddaughter had very few toys and a friend of my oldest daughter lent her some stuff to play with.

You can not imagine the stress and the the pain and suffering. Mental angrish is unbelievable. My life was a lilving hell.in the end they only took a $1000.00 off because the driver lied. I had to pay storage. No one should have to go thru this
