Stamps.com
Sounds great - but, small guy beware of fine print

Shops, Products, Services

Stamps.com - with USPS logos and others on the page. Print your postage, etc. Sounds great. I think it was $1 they want to verify the info. I prints USPS, UPS and FedEx labels fairly frequently. It's easy. I did not have time to really check out stamps.com as the starting process was cumbersome. Then - a month later I see the $15.95 charge on my credit card. I call them -they verify I have not used their services and explain the $15.95 is a membership fee. Then - they cancel per my direction and tell me there will be another $7.98 prorated charge.

They tried to first talk me into a $7 something plan. I went back to the site. I did not go to far because they want all your personal info. And I did not see anything about a membership fee. I guess if I had gone further I may have, as the guy on the phone said the fees are in there. Yeah - the magic drop down thing. MY FAULT — but, if I had read here first at the other stories, I would have been more careful.

Thanks for allowing me to vent!:-) Others — read the fine print and don't let the USPS logos make you think all is up front.
