In approximately May I received a phone call stating that I could receive a subscription to 3-6 different magazines of my choice and I would automatically receive a his or hers gold watch with a genuine diamond. The magazines would be received for three years at about 15 dollars a month, with US Weekly. At first I was all for it, I love magazines!

They told me i would not be billed until August. They told me i would receive a call in two weeks to verify my order. Two weeks later, i received a call and they said that they would be debiting my account the next day for 48-49 dollars. I told them that i was informed that I would not be charged until August. This made me a little skeptical.

I did not have money at that time, i had just moved from california and since i work at home, i would not get paid until the first week of the next month. I began thinking of questions in my head to ask them because i had just got excited at first.

So when they did call, i asked if i would be able to cancel my subscriptions at any time. The gentleman kept giving me the run around. He kept giving me options like, 2 years for 25 dollars every three months, and also said "well you can change your magazines if you don't like the ones you receive."

He obviously misunderstood my questions. I was clearly wanting to know that if i were to have a financial situation, would i be able to cancel.

At that time, i hardly made any money for that month, and made a final decision that it would not be right for me to take on another expense when i had debt to pay off. When i mentioned this, the guy turned into a big jerk and basically hung up on me.

Before hanging up on me, i told him to call me in a few months and maybe at that time, i would be financially set.

On Thursday November 14, at approximately 9:00 pm, I received a call stating that I would be receiving my magazines in 6-8 weeks, and when I told "John Allen" that i decided against the magazines a long time ago, he told me he was new and that he was going to transfer me to the verifier and that would take 30 seconds.

The verifier came on and told me the same crap "John Allen" did. I told him, that i could not take on another expense. Basically he sounded a little confused and said he thought i was already receiving the magazines, but on the same token said that my magazines would be sent in 6-8 weeks. He told me that I should have nothing to worry about.

Just yesterday, November 15, I made a 5 dollar purchase at Walmart that was denied. When i checked my bank account, sure enough, there was Magsource, with half a number pending a charge of 48-49 dollars.

I was furious, as I told them NOT to charge me, i did not want the magazines at that time, and possibly in the spring or sometime later call me. They told me they were just calling to let me know their company would not call anymore because my order was set.

But again, i told him, i had no order. The charges have not gone through yet, but seeing as though i only had 49 dollars in my account to last for two weeks, i can not get my money and a seven dollar charge i made will mostly likely bounce.

I read an attorney's site, that had a section just for this magazine source, and with a little online research i found that i was not the only one targeted. HELP!
