Time Warner Cable provides Pornographic Material to Minors, Then Sit Back and Smile as the Money rolls in

I ordered Cable with a DVR/digital box for our home. We took installation to two rooms, as it came with the installation package. We did the other rooms ourselves. This was right before Christmas. Our kid complained incessantly that he could not get higher channels on his tv without a DVR. At the end of January, we broke down and had a box put in his room. During the time period where he had no box, I had my television locked down so it could not even be watched after turning the power on without entering the PIN. I did not do this due to the content of the channels I subscribe to, as I have a very basic package that never airs nudity, unless it is on an odd movie channel such as Sundance, and then it is brief and I've never found it to be of an erotic nature.

I locked this out because I did not want him to have a reason to be in my bedroom when I was not there. I know how he is, television gets boring, I think I'll start pilfering in the dressers or desk, or start throwing a ball against the wall while I watch...
So here comes the tail end of March. I know I need to pay the cable bill from February and the one due in March. I'll skip paying bills some months and pay last month's and the current this month. So my bill would be about $140 to get it current. Then here comes the phone call. They want me to pay $205. I tell the guy, no, I know it's behind, but 140 is more like it. He says he doesn't know anything about my account, I'll have to call someone else. I cuss him and tell him to not call me back unless he can tell me something other than have his hand stuck out for money.

I go to open my bill, and there it is..."Big Boob Babes" along with other movies. Online, I find more charges for something called "Fresh."
I call and tell them not to get in a huff, they'll have their money by the due date. I tell them I need for there to be absolutely no access to pay-per-view in my home. They say I need to call tech support. I get some guy that tells me I need to lock out those channels, and I say, I don't want to order anything, ever, as pay-per-view is a ripoff. He says, no, you'll just have to lock that out. I lock the channels out, as he said. I go to test the lock, and I find that I am going to be able to buy the damned show, even if it can't be watched! I call back, and get another guy. He says you need to call the administration and ask for a zero credit limit on my account. I wonder why the first guy denied the existence of such a thing? Was he attempting to allow purchases to be made by a 15 year old and have me go through all this again next billing cycle? His damned lockouts didn't even work, and he lied.

While I was trying to lock the channels out, I told the guy I didn't even know which channels were what. My channels range from 2-150, I don't go looking through the 800s. And how am I supposed to know Fresh or Jenna is a porn station?

Time Warner knew this box was going into a fifteen year old's room, behind a door that (surprisingly!) can be shut, where adults cannot see what is going on. They did not tell me, upfront, "hey, you can access pornography 24/7 from this box, with the push of a couple of buttons. And oh, since he is a fifteen year old boy, that is probably needing masturbatory fuel, you may want to restrict this box."

If I walked over to the liquor store, bought a Hustler or a Penthouse, came home, said, hey, son, here you go, enjoy, I would be charged with providing obscenity to minors. Why not the cable company?
