On 3/14/08 I contacted Mike Usher with M&T appliance for a service call to look at my Kitchenaid dishwasher Model No. KUDIOILB56 We had used his service in 2007 to fix our dryer no problems so we trusted the guy Showed up on 3/17/08 a little late but no big deal told him the top rack of glasses etc were coming out dirty that we had hard water etc after a short cursory conversation and without taking anything apart he told me it sounded like the valve was not working properly that rocks and stuff can get caught in the lines when there is new construction in the neighborhood that he would order the part and be back on 3/20 to fix and clean it he would take it all apart and make sure it worked like new told me it would cost $300 parts and labor I asked a miriad of questions like WOW I could buy a new one for that he said NO it was a High end washer and that it would and cost $700 to replace the thing he took $100 deposit and said he would be back on 8 am 3/20 to fix it told me that the part was $150 3/20 comes he stands me up for the appointment I call all the numbers a till I get someone to call me back finally in the afternoon someone named Andrew answers the phone says sorry the storm took out our phones Mike came here on the appointment with 3 cell phones I know because he forget them and walked out the door without them then came back in the retrieve them I said I need him to come I have shifted my schedule around and we are having company for Easter can he come on 3/21 on friday Andrew says he will talk to Mike and call me and let me know No Phone call At ALL Mike has my $100 and I can't get him to call me back I leave messages on all the numbers am nice but firm Monday comes I call again finally he answers I ask when he is coming to fix my dishwasher and why I have not had a response he makes more excuses is a little annoyed and says he will be out a 4:00 he gets here I ask him questions about what he is doing he takes the valve out did not even look at anything else says I have rocks and little pieces of something in it replaces it it takes less than an hour I ask him for the part to show my builder and ask him some questions he says I would! He did not take apart the dishwasher and clean it like he said I questioned him and he said it appeared to be working better takes my Check for the balance says the part itself is guaranteed for life and if I have a problem he will take care of it total is 302.82 for everything I run my dishes through the dishwasher they still come out dirty on top do it again in the morning just to make sure am upset I call my builder he says it is impossible for what he describes to occur unless there was a water main break and there hasn't been so I call a plumber he looks at the part says the same thing I call try to call Mike on Monday tell him its still not working he says he will come out and look at it am feeling like I have been had, a new dishwasher would have cost just a little more than I paid Mike he said he call on Monday nite to see if tuesday would work never hear from him I keep calling and calling finally get him Tuesday he says he never told me he could com on Tuesday is really irritated says he can come Thurday but gives me no time will call never calls Thurday morning comes I call all his numbers no answer I call the parts department on the front of the card they say they have nothing to do with Mike but they do answer the phone M&T appliance so I am confused but I get curious about the part so I give the model number and make and they tell that part will cost me 41.60 I am sooo angry because Now I am really feeling ripped off I call and call until Mike gives up and answers the phone we have a short tense conversation that ends by him hanging up on me my husband calls says that we need him to fix it asap he tells him he will be there Tuesday and hangs up on him my husband calls him again Mike says he will call Saturday it is 4/1 we are still waiting
