TBG, Don't fall for it!

Shops, Products, Services

TBG, Inc in Stl recently found my resume on some job website and called me for an interview...

Since I was going to be in STL, I agreed to come in for the interview, even though I knew nothing about the company...

After a VERY short initial interview, I was invited to come back for a second interview and congratulated on being "one of the select few" invited back...

I STILL had no idea about the company or what they did, but, being a recent college graduate in a less than ideal economy to find a job, I reluctantly agreed to come back for the second interview... Which happens to be from 12:30 - 7 PM.

I was sent out w / a sales rep to see what they did on the job. Ya know what they do? Go DOOR TO DOOR in low-class neighborhoods and try to sell AT&T cable, internet and phone deals.

At this point, I actually felt insulted. I have a college degree... And they tricked me into wasting a whole day to go door to door and listen to a bunch of bull about what a great place it is to work.

Then they take you out to lunch and draw you a little chart about how much money you'll be making in just a few months. They get to that part real quick... What they skip over is that the first two "phases" of the job are COMPLETELY commission based. On my "second interview" with them in the field, the girl I was shadowing didn't sell a single package. But of course, she assured me that this "wasn't typical."

Later that night I was offered a job and asked to start the next day. Of course, I declined.

Shame on TBG, Inc for targeting recent college grads to work in the pyramid scheme. Don't fall for it guys. Its a huge waste of time and actually insulting to someone looking for a real job. I was actually embarrassed that I wasted so much of my time on them.
