Did Not Pay Me What They Promised Paid SIX Months after work done! New York

These folks advertise through Craigslist, offering work for demo people and for "Product Ambassadors" they want people who look classy and booked things at the last minute.

I did the work and busted my tail because I wanted to be hired back again. They completely never paid me. 3 days of free work is what they got. I got nothing.
They kept saying "well, the client hasn't paid us." (what does that have to do with payroll!?)

And then they FINALLY send me part of the money separate checks for two days, paid at 2 dollars under what they offered me to drive a long distance. If they are not out-and-out scammers, they are so incompetent that you don't want to work for them. Stay away. If you have already gotten paid, just don't work for them again. How honest is a company where the owner goes by two differnt names? And how honest is a company that tells an employee "I guess I'll have to change the name of my company and start all over again." Because 50 or so people, just like the Laura girl in the previous complaint, didn't get paid. I have the paperwork to back it up. So if anyone from Acclaim wants to go to court, just name the time and place.
