Fraud, followed rebate redemption instructions after waiting 35 months, rebate was not honored, identity theft possible

I precisely followed the rebate instructions after a very long wait of 35 months. I submitted my rebate paperwork on 12/4/07. More than six weeks passed without hearing a word. On 2/6/08, I sent a follow-up letter requesting prompt payment. Both sent certified, both delivered according to the USPS receipt. Now its 3/5/08, and I fear that this offer is completely fraudulent.

Aside from not receiving the promised rebate, I fear that there is a possibility of identity theft because to comply with the rebate offer, the company required very specific information containing birthdate, address, drivers license copy, and recent bill verifying my current address (all this with trepidation). I sent the information anyway (now with serious regret). Bottom line is this

Offer is completely fraudulent and misleading. I would welcome the opportunity to join others with similar experiences with the same company to not only get the rebate that is due us, but to shut this place down! I plan to pursue any and all means at my disposal to get my money, shut this company down, and tell my story to the public.
