Charged for an account I NEVER had - totaling $129 McLean Virginia

Same situation as the many others, being charged for an account I NEVER had with BMG Music. I'm in the process of purchasing a home and this 'UNPAID' debt appears on my credit report that was not on it last month, last year, year before or before that but it's from 2004. No phone number, email address, or business address... Just BMG Music $129.97 UNPAID since 2004.

Confused, shocked and angry I start researching these 'clowns' immediately. I've sent 3 emails to their customer service email with no response. Then I get this phone call from National Credit Solutions Collection Agency stating that I owe them $129.97 as they are representing BMG Music. After explaining to the very nice collection agent my situation she advises me to contact BMG Music, have them pull the account 'back' from NCS and resolve it with them directly.

I finally get a phone number, make the call and request the account be taken back from NCS and am told by 'Anne' (with no last name) yet she wanted my last name that this can't be done. She told me the initial charge was for $ 54.97 and that the additional $75.00 was a collection charge from NCS. She continued on and told me to pay the account and stop trying to beat BMG Music for their money. I laughed hysterically and made it clear to the 'entity' named Anne that $54.97 has never been enough money to break me and that it wasn't now. The fact still remains that I NEVER held an account with BMG Music AND I have no reason to pay them for an account that wasn't mine. I've now filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, among the thousands of other complaints with them about BMG.
