AAA Magazine Ad Promised $10 Monthly Credit, New Customers Only

I received AAA Living, the auto club's magazine for members. There is always a section on savings that members receive from different stores and businesses. In this issue, on page 11, Slam-Dunk Savings, there is a notice on how to receive a credit from Directv. The savings would be a $10 credit on your monthly bills for 24 months, a free HD receiver or DVR upgrade, and free installation.

When I called Directv to sign up for my credit to my bill, I was told that this was for new customers only. Nowhere in the AAA ad does it say new customers. I brought this to the rep's attention, and she said, well, we can give you a $100 credit if you sign up for a 12 month commitment, and the credit will be on month 2 and month 13. This is deceptive and fraudulent. They get you to call and then say we can't give you this, but you can have that.
