Zales ruins planned proposal with missed deadline

I purchaced a engagement ring and needed to get it sized. The salesperson assured me it would be avalable to pick up the day before my planned proposal. The day I was to pick the ring up came and I haddent heard anything from Zales. I called and they informed me they didnt get the ring back and it wouldnt be in until the day following my proposal date. I was offered no discounts or credits of any kind.
