Late Night Calls From Manager and Payment Amounts Keep Changing

In May I went to Aaron's with my girlfriend to rent a TV. We paid what was required for the deposit and were told we had 12 months to pay off the TV. In July we went in and paid half of the TV off; our total paid was up to $900.00. We went in every month until November, when we missed one payment. We called to explain that we would be in to pay twice our payment on the first of December, and that is when the manager, Tina, or one of her co-workers started calling us, telling us we had to come in and pay or else there would be trouble. The manager kept calling, mostly after nine at night, and when I checked the number it was her cell phone. Sometimes we got calls as late as eleven at night, and the store closes at eight.

We went in in December to pay and were told our payment was to be $175.00 and that this was only good until the third of December, and then we would have to pay another $150.00. Our payments each month are only $118.00. In January we got a letter stating we needed to pay $180.00 to be up to date because of late fees. We went in and paid that $180.00. Not even four days later we got a letter in the mail saying we needed to pay another $118.29 by the 15th of this month. So far our total paid is near $1,200.00.

We feel we are being milked for more money than we are supposed to be paying, and it seems Aaron's is trying to change our payments to fit its needs by extending our payments into next year.
