Do not do your Christmas shopping at Sears, It is a nightmare, they will rip you off

I ordered a room size rug from Sears.com and paid $105.00 for it, $99.00 plus tax). When we received it, we were shocked at how thin and cheaply made it was. So, we decided that we were going to return it to our local Sears.

We went to the cash register closest to the area that sells rugs, which was clear on the other side of the store, we carried this thing all through the store trying to find a register counter. Once at the counter we gave them our printed receipt and the rug. The cashier started the return transaction and quickly made a phone call to her manager, said sears was going to give us too much money back ($105.00 what we paid for it) She said in red there was writing on our receipt that they discounted it $8.00. We showed her where they displayed amount charged to our credit card (105.00) she wouldn't finish the return without calling the manager. The manager agreed with her and refused to give us back what we paid for the rug. Regardless that we were charged $105.00 they would only return back to us $96.00.

We insisted on speaking to the store manager, there was none in the store so we had to just leave with Sears keeping our $8.00. We have never been so openly ripped off by a store in our lives. They didn't care that other customers were witnessing this abuse, they just tstood their ground and kept our money.

We will Never step foot in a sears store again.
I am just warning anyone who would shop at Sears, plan on them ripping you off if you need to return it.
