Tried to Double Charge Me for Moving Services

This event took place 8/25.

I paid AAA Vanlines up front via a phone conversation for moving a large piece of my mother's furnature to my home.

When the movers arrived with my furnature piece after 11:30 PM, they refused to unload it until I paid them. I explained I already paid their company via credit card and to to whom I made the payment. I showed the movers the information I had in that regard.

Sorry, I don't remember their reply. It did not matter. They would not unload the furnature piece no matter what information I provided.

It was late at night and we were all tired. So, I gave one of the movers my credit card and he made an impression of if on a Visa slip. They unloaded the furnature piece and left.

The next day I immediately informed Visa of the double payment which they confirmed. Then they cancelled the previous night's transaction.
