Sprint - Sprint likes your business so much it will not deliver then charge $1000 when you try to leave

I signed up for a family cell phone plan. The first month bill I understood and paid it in full. But the bills following that had other charges on them. I kept receiving monthly bills but when I inquired about the extra charges I was met with ignorance or outright rude people. The customer service department did not have an answer for me. I e-mailed and still got no response and then a few months later a phone call about when and how much am I going to be able to pay on the bill and I told them as soon as someone can tell me what the other charges are I would take care of it and they said if I did not pay something that it was going to be sent to a collection agency and I told them not to do so until someone can tell what these charges are for, and fix the phones so they work, since I have had the phones which is about a year and a half I have only been able to use my phone twice otherwise it had no service on it at all. I was able to use my walkie talkie once and service was off and the other phone never got service. A collection notice for $858.90 to settle the account came in the mail right after I had told them not to send it to collection. I started asking around to see if it was just me that had problems with them or if others did too and I must have talked to a half dozen people and only one person did not have problems with their phone service and the others either have canceled or are going to as soon as there contract is up and even one of them canceled early because they were having the same problems as I am.

I reported them to the BBB and attorney general and they are still demanding $858.90 but they told the BBB that they were being generous by already forgiving almost $400 off their price.

Customer service is terrible and the promises they make are false
