Charged credit card for fictional services

ILD charged my credit card for $9.63. When I called the tollfree number shown on my statement, I had to hold on for 20 minutes, and when I finally got someone on the phone, he claimed that this was for a call to our home from a hotel in our hometown. This was clearly untrue (if I should want to call home from a local hotel, it costs a quarter), but he insisted it was correct. This is a smart scam, the amounts are not big enough for the authorities to bother about. What worries me most is that they have my credit card and home phone number. Who knows what is next?
