QTScareers Watch Out For Unscrupulous Recruiter ripoff

Barrington Ross, representing himself as a recruiter with the firm Quality Tech Search, or QualityTechSearch, or QTScareers.com, asked me to submit a resume for a job he had allegedly been hired to recruit for. I submitted my resume, arranged an interviewed with several of the company's staff, including a former colleague, and was given the indication that I was the top pick for the job.

However, before an offer was extended to me, Mr. Ross essentially accused me of lying about whether or not I had received a final offer from the company's HR representative. When I asked him to clarify his contractual relationship to the company, he stated that it was none of my concern, and then proceeded to imply that I had somehow entered an agreement with him by submission of my resume.

From this point on, the company essentially ended its conversation with me and Mr. Ross continued to badger me about getting an offer from the company. I am without an offer or employment, my relationship to this company and my colleagues has been damaged, and he continues to send intimidating e-mails to me.

I wouldn't recommend anyone respond to any e-mail from bross@qtscareers.com or any similar address he might use. There is no web-site for this company; only a fictitious name filing in Los Angeles County, CA. The phone numbers in his e-mail signature block appear to be located in Santa Monica, CA.

What I learned from this experience? Before sending any information to a recruiter that solicits you, ask them for references and insist that they disclose their relationship to the hiring firm.
