About four years ago I opened a sears credit card at the store and with out the clerk even asking if I wanted to use the card, she just went ahead and charged my card. I then asked her why she charged my purchase on my card and told her I didn't want to use my card, that I wanted to pay cash. She then let me pay my card off right their at the store. I then used my card several more times and when the bill came I paid it completely off. The last time I used it I began making payments on time, until I noticed that every time I got a bill they changed the date the payment was due, as a result of that one of my payments was one or two days late. They then charged me late fee and raised my interest rate from 19% to 29%.
I called them and talked to them and know one would help me. I then wrote a letter the corporete office and they told me to call customer service. I called them and they were very rude and wouldn't help
I felt they should not have raised my interest rate and closed my card when I was in excellent standing with my card, with the exception with one late payment because they kept changing the date my payment was due.
I have never shopped there since and tell everyone not to get their credit card. All I wanted was for them to drop the late fee and put my interest rate back to 19% so I wouldn' t have pay those extra charges and then resume paying off my card without the extra charges but they wouldn't do it.
