Broken repo TV and longer contract than salesperson said

When we went to Aaron's to rent a big screen TV and a couch for my house, we were informed that if we did not like it, we could return it and the money would go toward ANY in-store credit at ANY Aaron's store across America...

That was not at all the case. Not only did we get a TV that we could not watch because it was broken when it got here, but we have also been waiting 6 weeks for our TV to be returned. It still has not come as of yet, and it has been 8 weeks.

We found out they sold us a REPO TV, not a new one, and not only are we paying more for this REPO TV than for a new one, but they REFUSE to let us cancel our agreement and get a cheaper TV. As it turns out, you cannot do that. You can only cancel your agreement and get your money credited on that same piece of equipment IF they still have it.

Also, our TV is actually a 24 month contract, when the salesperson told us it was only a 12 month contract. That is how they got not only me but a lot of other people in our town.

This whole thing is a rip-off, if you ask me. I am now looking at filing against Aaron's.
