Ripoff False Warranty Promises

I purchased a Xbox 360 from Rent A Center. I purchased the Core Edition! Which goes for $ 300.00 in other stores. I paid $ 450.00 for mine! Which was fine I was getting it on payments and was able to take it home that day!

The Customer Repesenative that sold me the Xbox 360! Told me that their was a 2 year warranty on the Xbox 360. So I accidently drop it or it breaks or gets stolen, I would get another in replacement!

I got the Xbox 360 home! I paid it off within 2 weeks! To Avoid the higher interest charges! At the time I paid it off they re-assured me that the xbox would be replaced or fixed for free if any problems occured!

4 months later! My Xbox 360 started freezing & had 3 red lights flashing! So I called Rent A Center due to my Game Console I purchased from them was no longer working! I talked to a customer service repesentative that told me about Xbox 360 problems! I asked can I have mine replaced or fixed. He told me that I would have to talk to the manager!

The Manager got on the phone! I gave him my information & problems with their product! The Manager started being very rude with me! Told me that I was the person at fault for breaking it! Without even hearing the rest I had to say.

The Manager told me that I missed understood the warranty proceedure! That I was out of $ 450.00 That I should just expect my loses!

Later I talked to the company that makes Xbox 360!" Microsoft "! They told me that they would fix my Xbox for free! I told the Customer Service Rep the experience I had with Rent A Center! The guy told me he had a similar problem with them and has helped other Rent A Center Customers out with the same problem! The guy told me not to worry! If Rent A Center won't back their customers up with their warranty's & Promise's that you can be for sure that Microsoft will.

Well the xbox is getting fixed for free! Thanks to Microsoft! For caring about their customers!

(Which I understand that the problem with the Xbox was due to the makers of it). But Rent A Center should of stood by their warranty & promises or Customers to get it fixed or repaired!
