Moving Company Ripoff! Will change bill after pickup Poor service

This company is the WORST company I have dealt with in 20 years in business. They are actually thieves. They gave us an estimate to move office furniture from Clearwater to NY, which of course was the lowest price, $1100. I wanted to make sure this was a final price, and they even wrote it on the contract that price owuld not change as long as item count remained the same. The guy named Ruben Perez assures me not to worry, as this will be the final price no matter what.

They didn't pick up the stuff on the day promised. They called to say the truck broke down and they would be there the next day. It was close to thend of our lease, and I didn't have much recourse. The next day they don't call but when we call they say they were delayed becuase the truck is being repaired. They pick up the stuff late at night, and my own guy tapes the blankets on the desks because the driver is on his cell phone with his girlfriend.

A day or so later, I get a bill for $1578.47. They bill be $150 because the office was more than 75 feet away from their truck. However, their is a stairwell right next to my office and they say one flight of stairs is free, but the truck opts to park on the other side of the building where there is an elevator (maybe 100 feet away). They charge me $40 for masking tape to tape the blankets on the desks, when I was told the blankets were free. They also charge me additional saying that we exceeded their esitmate by 90 cubic feet, even though the contract I signed said there would be no change in price as long as the number of items do not change.

I argue this with Ruben, who lies and said he never promised to fix the price. Oreet, or Orit, his supervisor says there is nothing they can do about the final price. They promise to deliver in a few days. It is now May 25th and the desks haven't arrived in NY. YEsterday the driver said he was leaving Trenton, and we were given a blow by blow every few hours (I'm on the Jersey Turnpike, I'm on the GW bridge). Finally at 5:30 pm we tell them our office is closing. We call Orit, and she says the driver is in Washington DC. Then we tell her he lied all day, and she says he is now on Worth Street in Manhattan. It's rush hour and we tell her its too late to deliver tonight. She says she will call in the morning.

Of course, in the morning she doesn't call. We call, and she says the truck is in Virginia. These people should all be in jail. I still don't have my furniture, and my next call is to the state police.
