What's the Bell about? Ripoff

I am a fresh college grad from Tennessee. I plan to move to Winston-Salem, NC with my girlfriend. I had been looking for a job on the net for jobs around the area and came across this one. It sounded pretty good. I had what they were looking for enthusiam, work ethic, etc.

I recently had an interview and a day of O with Srategic Marketing/True Solutions. I guess the True Solutions stands for the owner, Phil Trueblood, who really is a nice guy or seemed like one at the time.

I should have known I was getting ready to do some walking when a saw the shoes of the guy I was riding with on the day of O. They looked as if he had been hiking in the mountains in his, at one time, nice dress shoes.

The only bad thing about this company I would have to say is that in the job description there was nothing talking about door-to-door sales. I understand that no normal pereson would respond to this job if it did. However, I felt they wasted my time where I could be looking for a job that I really wanted, and thier time as well were they could have chosen another foot soldier for the clan.

I kind of felt like a prostitute out in the field. We were out in the ghetto of Burlington, NC from 10:45AM til 7:45PM. Then when we came back the employees and the owner/pimp would go in a room where they would clap hands and yell and someone would ring the bell, probably the owner. I was in the other room filling out a questionaire about some law.

I guess that whole get together in the other room was a sort of confidence booster for his employees/ho's for the next day of selling. Because I would have to say after coming from the field at the end of the day these guys are phisically and emotionally drained. And I you would need a pick-me-upper to keep going on day after day.

I had fun talking with people in Burlington and with the guy I walked with. That's about it. Other than that, this job just isn't for me. I congradulate the one or ones that do make it to the top of that pyramid. Will you tell your prospective employees what they are getting into? And can someone tell me what the little ritual in the room is all about.
