Global Marketing Ventures ripoff be careful this companymight go by several names its direct marketing AKA door-to-door sales

Miscellaneous

Step one: they post their company on internet websites with very vague information to try and entice you. It all sounds great, like some company you would want to work for. Especially the part about sports marketing.

Step two: they call you or email you back as soon as you respond with a resume. They'll invite you down for a preliminary interview to meet with the "president" of the company. They president will then tell you that they are only accepting a few candidates, and that they would like to welcome you back for a second interview.

Step three: they set up your second interview that includes field experience. They will tell you to wear business clothes, comfy shoes, and to bring your resume again.

Step four: (I hope none of you even get this far). They have you get "field experience." Which means you are trapped in someone else's car in a remote residential location from 11:00-9:00 pm selling coupons door-to-door. To make matters worse, you are walking all day while listening to your field leader rattle off company crap. They will tell you the 8 things they look for in an employee, the 5 things that are involved in a door-to-door sales pitch, ect. And you have to listen to them ALL DAY LONG. They are a puppet. And, if you try and break their spiel, they will tell you to wait and ask questions until the very end of the day. And, if you try and get out of it, they will tell you to stick it out and see if you might start to like it. Yeah right.

None of the residends even want you there, and out of 100 homes we went to, only 10 people bought the dumb coupon. (dont ask me why they even would). Add it up: 10 homes= $100= 10 hours of work= $10 an hour. Terrible. To top it all off, that was considered a good day! They rang a bell at the end of the day for us because they considered that a good amount of sales! Unbelievable. My field leader said that he had only sold 5 the day before. Who they heck wants to work 10-12 hours a day only to make $50? Not me. Don't bother even interviewing with this company.
