My sister and I were watching and talking on the phone (02/03) when they kept showing a Portuguese round tanzanite and diamond ring and marking it down, I decided at the end of the show to make an offer on the ring.

When the ring did not arrive in 2 weeks I kept calling customer service and was told each time that they were expecting the appraisal back "any day". When the ring finally arrived on March 6, it was a round brilliant and the date on the appraisal was 02/06/07,3 days after I purchased it. The host I bought the ring from had been on many times since Feb 6.

When I contacted customer service they claimed they watched the tape and the ring I bought at the end of the show was not the same ring my sister and I had been seeing all night.

I also purchased a round brilliant red zircon on 02/03/07, as my purchase was being processed they put another red zircon ring in the TV picture with mine but it was a checkerboard cut. I asked the operator why they were showing another ring with mine and he said that another customer had asked if they had another red zircon.

When my ring arrived it was not the oval I had purchased but the checkerboard cut. I don't know if it was just a mistake because GSN is so disorganized or what. I had to send the ring back at my expense and pay for their mistake.

Of the 4 rings that I have ordered from GSN and received so far only one of them is set so that the prongs do not snag on everything, that one is a bezel set Imperial Zircon. The Blue Zircon and diamond ring actually has 2 prongs that are not even pressed down on the stone they are sticking up in the air; now I have to pay to have that corrected before I can wear the ring. The peachy pink Tourmaline ring and the Opal ring are the same way, both with prongs that snag on everything. Shoddy workmanship!

Also, Rose from Florida is correct, it takes 2 billing cycles to get a refund on your credit card when you return something. I think that is ridiculous and twice as long as it should be. Most other companies can process a refund in 15 days. GSN don't seem to care that the customer pays interest on the money for every month that they delay the refund.
