Yucatan Resorts, Michael Kelly - What do we do now? Help! Ripoff!

My wife and I invested approximately $15,000 of our money into a "Universal Lease" with Yucatan Resorts back in August at the advice of Curtis D. Mase, who was with C & M Financial Group Inc. At the time.

Like a lot of people, my wife and I were pretty naive when it came to investments outside of our 401K's, so when Curtis approached us with what sounded like a great deal (11% rate of return on investment), we went for it.

I hate to admit it, but really didn't start looking into anything until I realized that I hadn't received a statement in quite some time. When I called - or tried to call - I could never get through. A Google search led me to this site, and the discovery that this Michael Kelly guy (if that's his real name?) has been arrested.

I called my local FBI office today, will talk more tomorrow.

I'm completely lost as to what to do. Can we sue collectively as a group? Are there any liquid assets in this company that we could even get any kind of settlement, or are we totally and colectively screwed? I've tried unsuccessfully to contact my initial advisor (Curtis D. Mase) - do I report him too? Is he liable at all? Can't believe he doesn't know about this mess...

I'm in Illinois, and it looks like the investment pool of individuals is pretty diverse. Again, how can we collectively group? Help! I cannot get a definitve answer to ANY of this...
