Ed Benjamin And Sons
Sells jewlery that is expected to fall apart

Shops, Products, Services

When my wife and I got engaged we shopped around then chose Ed Benjamin and Sons because she liked the designs and friends recommended them. I spent $6,000 on an engagment ring. We have had it fixed 5 times now. A total of 3 lost stones and a number of loose stones over the past 4 years.

My wife spoke to the store and told them she was afraid to wear it since everytime she does a stone falls out or is loose. They told her she could exchange the ring.

She flew from New Jersey to San Diego and when she arrived at the store they not only would not exchange it but told her they expect this type of ring to lose stones!

I have spoken to a number of jewelers about this ring, 2 told us the ring was poorly designed and we will have more issues with it. All said no ring should be expected to lose stones.

We had sent a number of friends to Ed Benjamin and Sons shortly after we bought the ring and they are telling us they have had issues with what they bought.

They have fixed the ring again, but it now sits in a box because the wife is to scared to wear it.

I feel riped off and the store could care less, to tell us the ring is expected to fall apart is offensive. I would not have purchased the ring if they told me that before hand.
