Let me the first to agree with anyone who believes that they have been rip off by Family Credit Counseling Corp, or FCCC. I was a former employee of this company, and i witness a lot of this mismanagement of people's money, missing funds, and everything else you could imagine. So you have been ripped off. This company goes by a number a names or aliases to get people in the door, then before you the consumer knows it FCCC is managing your account. If most consumers remember, they always say you should contact you initial agency, they are the initial agency just under a different umbrella. I worked out of the Charlotte, NC office... That office opened up due to the hurricane that hit Florida. They were going by many different names at the time to sucker people in. It got so bad there that they received so many threats of legal action that they developed the office of the president to so call nip any seriousness of legal action in the bud before it got bad. The Charlotte, NC office is so lost and not on the same page as the main office in Lauderdale Lakes, FL that it is a shame. The Charlotte office is the primary customer service contact center. All other inquiries or "tasks" as they call them are forwarded to FL. Those people there don't take any corrective action, multiple "tasks" are sent before things are acknowledged and it still doesn't make it any better. A word of advice if you are dealing with this company, you will do better to just make arrangements with you creditors on your own. You will save money, and not have to worry about being dropped from the program due to late payments, missed payments, and all of there other problems they make for you. You can negotiate your own offers with your creditors. They tell you, you pay a monthly fee to them, then what they fail to mention is that the creditors in turn pay them a certain percentage for getting you in this program... So when they tell you your payment hasn't posted or they have not received the funds, normally the creditor have returned the funds to them for their cut. This company is a definite rip-off. Someone needs to go in and cease their computers, all the fraudulent is right before their eyes.
