Ripoff Debited more money out of my account than I authorized and didn't a legitiment call back number nor did they confirming my order as stated

I ordered a cooking utinsle from an infomercial on TV around the 2nd or 3rd of December, my whole conversation was completely computerized. I declined everything except the cooker. The commercial said that if ordered within twelve minutes, there would be an additional cooker added. The recording gave me an 800 # to call to cancel at anytime & also stated that I would receive an email within the next two to three days to confirm my order.

I had bad vibes about this after I did it & called back a little later that day to cancel, only to get a recording, no live person. I was very upset about this & decided to return the email to them as soon as I got it. I never got the email. I had no legitimate way to contact them, so I was stuck.

On December 26th, the postal service had left the box on my front porch & then I looked at my checking account & saw they had withdrawn $63.75 from my checking account. The agreement was two payments of $19.95. I contacted my bank right away & then called the 800 # that was on my account by the debit to find out what they thought they were doing taking that much. The man was extremely rude & all but called me a liar & when my bank contacted them, they told the bank that I had ordered something else also. I declined everything that was on that recording.

My bank called me today & said that since I had made contact with them & had given them permission to debit the money, there was nothing they could do. Needless to say I was very upset about the whole thing because as I have already stated, they didn't even give a phone number where a live person could be reached, nor could you leave a message, they didn't even send the email that they were supposed to to confirm the order.

I took the package back to the Post Office & told them that I refused it & requested proof that I brought it back, but they said I didn't need anything. I think that all of my money should be refunded to me because they didn't honor the procedure that they said they would do. This is a little ridculous for these companies to take advantage of people & espically senior citizens.
