Unauthorized charges. Refusal of refunds. Huge scam!

Our report will begin with a telephone order for Maxoderm. I believe the order date was Aug. 4. After receiving the product and being instantly disappointed, we decided to cancel. Before we made the call, we noticed a charge on our account for $89.99. That was Aug. 25. We called them immediately to cancel and get the RA# to return the unopened product.

They said that upon receiving the package our account would be credited back the $89.99 charge. We immediately went to the post office and returned the product.
That same day, while checking our bank account online, we noticed a new charge for $79.92. We called them back and they told us that we ordered another product from them the last time we called. Of course, we hadn't done any such thing. The man said they recorded the conversation and we asked to hear the recording, which, of course, he declined. We asked to speak with someone in charge and they transferred us to a line with a voice mail. We left a message asking them to get back with us ASAP and no one did. We called numerous times that day with the same procedure happening each time. Sometimes they simply picked up the phone and hung up immediately.

Upon reviewing our online bank statement a little closer, we realized the $89.99 charge was for a product called Vivaxa, not Maxoderm. We DID NOT order any other products other than the initial order of Maxooderm.
The $79.92 charge was for a product called HFR for her. This is the product they say we ordered when we called to cancel the Maxoderm. Which again, we DID NOT order.

I think I should add that we also were charged $. 15 twice and $2.70 for an International Trans Fee. We didn't know what they were but after reviewing postings here, we think they are connected to this company.

On Sept. 3 we received a second package from Barmensen. Today is Sept. 5. We have yet to return this package because of their unwilling to help us. Plus, after reading all of the other reports on this site, we've decided to cancel our current debit cards and have new ones issued. We are not taking the chance of having other charges applied.

When the commercial that we order from aired tonight we decided to call that number and try to get things resolved. They said they couldn't do anything from there. It was just a call center. We asked to speak with someone in charge and he also said there was nothing they could do. He said he shouldn't be telling us this but we should call our bank to dispute the charges and get new debit cards. Then he gave us a number to call. He said it was the actual number to Maxoderm. We called and the person who answered only spoke a foreign language. We called back the other number and he said he gave us the wrong one before and told us a new one to call. This number was not a working number.

We decided to call the police department in Edison, NJ, where the company is supposedly from. They told us we need to file a complaint with our local police who would then contact them to start an investigation.
We will be doing that first thing in the morning. It's also Labor Day weekend so we can't cancel our cards until Tuesday.

We are urging EVERYONE who has been scammed by this company to file a complaint with their local police department. Maybe if there are numerous complaints, we can put a stop to this.
Also, if there are any attorneys or agencies interested in filing a class action suit or pursuing legal action, we would be willing to participate.
We will update with any information we get after filing with the police.
