Baby Gift Idea - Kiddie Gift Idea, FAILED to DELIVER gift, but still TOOK my MONEY! Does not respect its' own Customer Satisfaction Policy. Poor customer service. Online buyer beware! Ripoff

Consumer's Original Complaint:
On Sept 3rd I made an online purchase for a gift basket of a Personalized Baby Gift Set which was charged to my mastercard for $85.80 (US Dollars). The item was to be delivered by Fedex within 2-3 days. I received notification that the item had been delivered and didn't think twice about it until I called the recipient who said they had never received their gift. I immediately contacted Baby Gift Idea by email, and phone. They advised that Fedex has told them the item was delivered but that it was not signed for and that there is no proof of delivery.

I asked that the item be delivered again or my money returned but did not received any response from the company. I made four attempts to speak with a supervisor to rectify the problem however the company refused to call me back or deal with the matter. The company has told me on the phone that they "have had difficulty with Fedex in the past with regards to delivery and tracking".

The responsibility for the delivery of the item is the sole responsibility of Baby Gift Idea and Fedex and yet www.BabyGiftIdea.com refuses to re-deliver the items that they didn't require a signature for. I have never dealt with an online company that so blatantly avoided resolving customer problems by not calling the customer back. Nor have I ever dealt with a company that did not take responsibility for the delivery of it's product when clearly the fault has nothing to do with the customer.

When a complaint was registered with the Better Business Bureau (to which they are not a part of) the company attempted to deflect the blame to me the customer. Www.babygiftidea.com who failed to return my calls or emails, tried to claim that I was wanting to speak to everyone in the company.in fact I was promised that a supervisor would call me back. None did, nor did they reply to my emails.

When I called back again asking to speak to a supervisor they again deferred, and no return call was ever received. At this time I am hopeful that the resolution process with the Better Business Bureau will have a successful outcome. I will update this report when the matter is finally resolved either way. Until then buyer beware www.babygiftidea.com. Based on my experience with them their Customer Satisfaction Policy is meaningless.
