Free Credit Report.com
Keeps charging for services that were terminated over the telephone

Shops, Products, Services

This company is a joke. My wife contaced them to terminate her agreement after the 30-day "free" trial. The call was made after she tried to terminate it through an e-mail, and was told she would have to call their toll-free number, which she did. Here are the actual e-mails between my wife and them, before I stepped in:

Subject: Cancellation Request

To Whom It May Concern,

My wife (Loubna) has been unable to cancel her "membership" with your organization, even after following the advise of your e-mails. Her initial contact to request cancellation was on 8 November (see below), and she is "still" being charged a fee of $9.95 (on 12 Dec).

It is because of the lack of professionalism on the part of your company that I have contacted the Better Business Bureau. I am request on behalf of my wife that you send her an e-mail indicating that her cancellation has been received and processed so that she will not continue to be charged. Thank you.

I already called your customer service and talked to your customer service representative where she proceeded the cancelation of my membership.

However, the cancelation was done over the phone and I NEED A WRITTEN EMAIL where credit reprt.com confirms the cancelation. I await your confirmation of my membership cancelation.

Thanks,

Loubna
