Ipoff, total fraud, multiple contract violations, no royalties on book published

Shops, Products, Services

I began working with American Literary Agents of Washington as an agent to sell my book. Their inability to provide any proof of doing anything to sell it lead me to answer pamphlets from Trident Media. I was told an outright lie when I asked if there was any association between Trident and A.L.A. Because I was told there was no affiliation between them and because their phamplet and contract made me believe my books would not only appear on the internet but would be physically placed in book stores around the nation I signed with Trident Media.

Because of Tridents' inability to correct my manuscript per their editor it took 9 months to publish my book instead of 90 days. I even had to pay extra to cover the cost of correcting errors which occured between Tridents' computer and the printers computer which is contrary to the contract I signed.

Instead of my book being physically placed in book stores it appears only in their computers. Nothing was done by Trident to sell my book in any manner except over the internet. When I talked to managers of bookstores in my area I was told print on demand books rarely recieve bookshelf space. What a shock this was to me.

While waiting for copies of the book to arrive relatives and friends in another state ordered and received copies of my book through Barnes and Noble bookstores. When I received my first royalty check it was for only 1 copy. I was told that instead of Trident keeping an accurate count of books sold it would be up to me to search the world over, locate any person who bought a book, get a copy of their sales reciept, send it to Sam and then I would receive royalties.

After one and half years of publication Sam still instists that no copies have been sold. Even though the number flucuations on on-line book sales sights and the fact that used copies are offered strongly suggest that books are selling I have not been able to receive any royalties. I even hired VNU US Literary Group to check on copies sold. They could find no first time book sales. It appears that Sam maintains total control of the ISBN number and first time sales to everyone so that no internationl record of sales is created.

I have also found many contract violations that Sam has committed throughout the publication and listing of my book on the internet sales.

Sam also refuses to answer any letters I send and becomes so obnoxious over the phone that nothing is ever accomplished. I feel Sam in now collecting on the thousands of copies of my book which are selling while I am recieving nothing for 25 years of recearch and writing.
