Classic movers scam. Ripoff

I feel totally ripped off by this particular company. I should have read this site for moving tips before I gave them this job. I had packed the entire house before they came. They just packed the TV and 2 glasses. I felt a little suspicious when they started wrapping mattresses but didnt stop them. The cost of all this came to a whopping $187. I have a small 1 bedroom apt and the estimate for the moving job was $280. This was a big overcharge for me.

Furthermore the moving time (twice confirmed in advance) was supposed to be 1-3 pm. The guys actually turned up at 7.15 pm. They did not apologise at all. Also when I gave them the contract on phone, I had specifically asked if they charge for the travel from their office to my home and back, I was clearly told no. But in the final bill I was charged $70 for that. I was told it was a miscommunication and they do charge.

Beware of this company, its a total rip off.
