Sirius Satelite Radio
Customer service actually performs no service at all Ripoff

I signed up for Sirius Satelite Radio so I would never miss a college football game. And I listened to a lot of football my friends.in the past year, I have loved Sirius down deep in my heart and often recommended it to friends. I now would rather have a nest of bees land on my head, while stuck on a deserted island, dressed in a Village People outfit, than use Sirius ever again.

Here's the deal:

Sirius automatically withdrew payments every month from my checking account. One Saturday morning, I went to turn on the satelite radio to get ready for a Univ. Of Alabama game that was not going to be televised. To my shock, the radio did not turn on, but gave me a message that said I must call in to get subscription.

Perplexed and having never received any warning of this, I called the Sirius number and waited for a customer service rep to help me. Then my connection went dead. Odd. I called again and began waiting for a rep again. I waited for 20 to 30 minutes. When a friend arrived at my home, I was forced to hang up the phone. I went online and tried to reactivate my account there, but had no luck. I called a third time and waited another 30 minutes.

This time I actually got a rep on the line and she informed me that my debit card was not working. I had recently received a new debit card from my bank, and the number was different. This apparently kept Sirius from collecting their precious $14 from me. I gave the rep all my new info and she put me on hold for around 15 to 20 minutes.

After showing the patience of Job, I explained to the customer service lady that I still had the same message on my radio. She said not to worry, that it would take a few minutes to reactivate. After hanging up the phone, I went about my business.

About an hour later, I looked at the radio again. Still the same message. Frustrated out of my mind, I filled out the form on sirius.com and explained my scenario. A few days later, I received a pointless response basically saying thanks for your email. (So if you are looking for an easy job, I'm not sure Sirius even requires the employees to read, let alone compose a cognant email.)

Upon looking at my checking account online, I found 3, FREAKIN THREE, charges from Sirius. I could not explain what 2 of them were for.

I called Sirius a 4TH time. Call me a glutton for punishment, I know. After another annoyingly long wait, a customer service rep tried to activate my radio again. She had no luck. She could not give me an answer for why I had 2 extra charges. Her consilation was a $20.00 credit on my account. Woop-hee! Know I can NOT listen to my radio for free! After a 30 plus minute phone call (majority of which I was holding) the rep gave me a product support number and said she couldn't reactivate my radio.

I filled out another report to Sirius, asking for them to end my pain and suffering, and to cancel my account. I received a generic response which said that I would have to call in to do that. Aaaaahhhhhhhhh!!!
