I rented from rent a center for over a year and made a final payment for all the goods in august a week after I paid in full Rent a Center started calling me and demanding that i pay my bill or they will come and pick up the merchandise. I thought this was a joke. I started getting no less then 11 phone calls a day from rent a center threating me and harrassing me about the late payment. I told them it was all paid off but they said i was a liar and that they will keep calling till i pay the bill. They showed up at my home and i showed them the paid in full receipt they said they dont have a copy of it and that they will keep calling and comming to my house until i payed the bill or returned the things. Calls to my home cell phone and office went up to no less then 18 calls a day. And leaving notes at my door when i returned from work sometimes 6 notes a day one nite when they came to my home they must have thought no one was home and attempted to break into my front door. Police were notifed and a report was filed next day i received 22 phone calls from them about my returning the merchindise another police report was written and threaths were left on my voice mail. Now the case is in court against harrassment.
