Husky $400 tool box warranty refused at store return

I purchased a 41" 10 drawer tool box that cost $400.00. I have had this box for about a year, maybe a little longer. All the drawers are broken, and I cannot even get two of them onto their rollers. I tried to take it back and exchange it for a new one. The warranty is on the side of the box: guaranteed forever, and for your convenience, if your tool breaks just take it back to any Home Depot for replacement or you can send it in to Husky.
I went two weeks ago, just to make sure I was covered before I unloaded the rest of my tools out of it so I could exchange it. I got there and the employee told me Home Depot only accepts returns for the first 90 days. Mind you, I had them go and read the warranty on the box, which states to bring it back to any Home Depot store for exchange if needed, for my convenience. Keep in mind that this box weighs around 100 to 150 lbs. It is not very efficient to have to ship this to Husky. So what I learned is that they will not honor a written warranty that they proudly display. I am not sure, but I thought warranty fraud was a felony.
I tried to get the manager to put everything they were telling me in writing, and they refused and showed me the door. I am a mechanic by trade and spend a lot of money on tools, and I have bought many tools from Home Depot, but I will never return. I just wanted to bring this to everyone's attention. If anyone else has had this problem, please let everyone know.
Thanks for your time.
