Ripoff disappearing dvr, rude customer service, outright lies

Ok, first of all we have had Mediacom for 7 months. When we first signed up we requested a dvr which their phone rep told us was available. Turns out there is a waiting list, which we are still on and if we ever get one, we will have to pay an additional service charge to have it delivered. They are generating income by being "out" and then delivering later.

Second, my service is out daily. Sometimes a few minutes, sometimes hours.

I called last week to have a wireless network installed, an additional box delivered and a problem with not getting vod on our boxes. The appointment was today between 12-5. Nobody showed up. I know this because three of us were home during that time, and my two rotties never alerted that someone was here. And trust me, my girls take protecting seriously. They have never missed someone in the yard.

I called about 4 pm, the lady said we were still on the schedule. I called at 6 pm. The first guy put me on hold and never came back. The second guy, Charles, came back and said the local office (which was closed by that time) said they were here and nobody was home. He was very condescending and was all but laughing at me. I asked him for a supervisor or someone I could complain to formally. He kept insisting "that would be me". Finally i said, oh, wait... I just remembered who my local licensing authority is, I'll just call em in the morning and hung up.

Almost every single time we have called they have been very rude. This makes twice we have requested a supervisor and have been denied the information. I will be filing formal complaints tomorrow and sending a letter to the FCC.

Its sad, because my local office is actually very nice and have managed to fix every screw up made by customer service to this point, but according to the fcc, I must report them on my local level??? I want to report the jerks in the call center, not my local lady.

I hope that soon, there are more choices in cable. I don't appreciate emotional abuse via mediacom's customer service.
