Brightstar, BRIGHTSTAR & Verizon Wireless Rebate FRAUD

I purchased (2) LG VX8100 Cell Phones from Verizon Wireless in early March. I filled out BOTH rebate forms and included ALL REQUIRED forms UPC's bar codes & information needed to recieved the "so called" rebate of $50 PER PHONE (and made copies of ALL being sent into BRIGHTSTAR before I mailed rebate).

I called BRIGHTSTAR a couple months after sending rebates (June), only to be told to give the processors the full 12 weeks as noted in the rebate form. I did as directed and waited several more weeks before calling again, ONLY to be told by BOTH the initial Rep & her Supervisor (Tonya Badge # 2846) that the rebate had NOW expired and I was... (so to speak)..."out of luck" and there was NOTHING they could or WOULD do for me.

In doing additional research online, (as I suspected) I am NOT the only person that has experienced this IDENTICAL problem with Brightstar representatives with regard to REBATES. I plan on following through with a complaint with the new york state atty general, the federal attorney generals complaint line, initiate a local tv news channel investigation... And anything else I can think of or you (the readers of this compaliant can suggest to me to do).

THIS IS OUT AND OUT FRAUD AND BRIGHTSTAR IS NOT THE ONLY COMPANY TO TRY THIS FRAUD ON CONSUMERS. Help me remedy this situation and make them pay & think twice before they do this again to ANY consumer. Email & write to your Congressional leaders to legislate laws to stop this from occuring in the future.
